Your information, clearly explained

Privacy Policy

This policy describes how AyuPay handles information when you use an AyuPay checkout or payment service.

Effective date: 23 October 2026

1. Who this policy covers

AyuPay provides payment and checkout technology to merchants. The merchant whose goods or services you are buying is responsible for its order, delivery, refund, and customer-support records. The merchant may have a separate privacy policy. For a booking or purchase, contact that merchant about information it collects for fulfilling your order.

2. Information we handle

Depending on how you use checkout, AyuPay may handle:

  • Contact and account details you enter, such as your name, mobile number, and email address, including details used for OTP verification.
  • Payment and order details, such as merchant and order identifiers, amount, currency, payment method, payment status, timestamps, and bank reference information needed to verify a payment.
  • Technical and security information sent by your browser or device, such as IP address, browser type, device and session identifiers, and service logs.
  • Information you send to support or provide when reporting a payment issue.

UPI PINs, banking passwords, and payment-app login credentials should be entered only in your bank or payment app. AyuPay does not ask you to share them with us.

3. Why we use information

  • To create and operate checkout sessions and route you to a payment method.
  • To verify payment status, notify the merchant of payment events, and help resolve disputes or failed transactions.
  • To verify your account where that feature is enabled, protect the service, detect misuse, and keep operational records.
  • To respond to support requests and meet applicable legal, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

4. When information is shared

We share the information needed to complete these purposes with the relevant merchant, payment apps or payment providers you choose, banks and payment networks involved in processing, service providers that host or secure the service, and public authorities when required by law. Those providers may process information under their own privacy terms.

5. Payment apps and links

On mobile devices, checkout may open a UPI or other payment app. That app is operated by a separate provider and its own privacy policy applies to information you enter there. AyuPay receives payment-result information needed to update the checkout and notify the merchant.

6. Storage, security, and retention

Checkout may use browser storage to keep a session working. We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above, payment and dispute records, and applicable legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it when appropriate.

7. Your choices and requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information held by AyuPay, or raise a privacy concern, using the contact address below. Some payment records may need to be retained for legal, security, or dispute-handling reasons. For order details, booking changes, cancellations, or refunds, contact the merchant directly.

8. Children

AyuPay checkout is intended to be used by adults or with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian where applicable. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review the request.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this page when our services or practices change. The effective date at the top shows when this version was published. Material changes will be communicated through the service where appropriate.

10. Privacy contact

For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. Please do not send passwords, UPI PINs, or full payment credentials by email.
